The Empowering Young Entrepreneurs Program (EYE Program) launched by Google and CUHK Center for Entrepreneurship is open for application!

This one-year program will invite local and overseas academics, successful entrepreneurs and Google experts sharing experiences and providing trainings to the participants through a series of training workshops, seminars, networking opportunities as well as mentorship. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with experts and pitch to investors from different industries or locations. The teams will be benefited from their experience and advice. Outstanding participants will be sponsored to visit Google’s headquarters in Mountain View so that they can connect with the global community of entrepreneurs and investors.

The EYE Program aims to empower young entrepreneurs and university students in Hong Kong. It will also strive to connect various players in the local community and share resources from everybody jointly to build a platform for young entrepreneurs. These efforts will kickstart a quantum change in the new business venturing environment and, ultimately, create a dynamic entrepreneurial ecology for Hong Kong. 

The EYE program consists of two parts:

1. Pre-Mentorship Training: From February to April/ May, 2014
   For eligible successful applicants
2. Mentorship: From May to October/ November, 2014
   For selected participants of the Pre-Mentorship Training

Interested youngsters in Hong Kong can apply for the EYE Program by filling in the 

online form from December 10th, 2013 to January 20th, 2014. Applicants must complete the form by filling in personal information including age, education background, relevant work experience, skills, and a Personal Statement to express their interest and vision in entrepreneurship. 

Eligible applicants must be:

• A Hong Kong resident with a Hong Kong Identity Card who primarily lives, works and/or studies full-time in Hong Kong

• Between the ages of 18-35 (by January 20, 2014)

• Aspiring to start his/ her business in Hong Kong, or has started the Hong Kong-based business within 5 years
